Ms. Elayna Shaw

Two Year Old program

Welcome to the Two Year Old Classroom!  My name is Ms. Elayna Shaw and I have been part of the Carden Conservatory family for over ten years, and helping within the preschool for the past three years. I look forward to teaching the two year olds and to a wonderful school year with the little ones.

I will be actively potty training my class and will need pull-ups and wipes for each child.  I need to have enough based on the length of time the child will be at school.  Full time students will need about 25 pull-ups a week and half time students will need about 15 pull-ups a week.  We will also need a change of clothes for potty accidents. If the child has moved onto the next stage of potty training and is using only underwear, then I ask that the child have 2 sets of clothes (tops, bottoms, underwear, and socks) available in their backpacks for emergencies.

For napping children, please provide a fitted crib sheet, blanket, small pillow* and a small stuffed animal* for your child.  All must fit inside the 16x11x5 container.  Mats will be provided. Please make sure that sheets and blanket are taken home every Friday for washing.

*The pillow and small stuffed animal are optional.

Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided for the children.  Hot lunches are available for purchase through the school or parents may provide their own lunch.  Hot lunch order forms are sent home in their sign-in sheets once a month.

Lastly, please be sure to check your child’s cubby and folder (next to the sign-in book) for their daily artwork, class work and additional information. Newsletters are sent home the first of the month. We will send out weekly emails with a summary of what we did during the week.  If you have any questions please feel free to see me or email me at eshaw@cardenconservatory.com  Thank you and I’m looking forward to a fun year with the two year olds!
